Notes: Not all codes are used by all agencies, and there may be inconsistencies between this list and the meaning of the code when it is used.  Please let me know if any errors are found.  Recently-adopted Fire/Rescue/EMS procedures require the use of ’plain English’ rather than 10- and Signal-codes on their designated frequencies and talk groups; however, some codes are still used, and some personnel still use codes on a regular basis.  There appears to be little or no standardization or policing of the ’plain English’ policy, so expect wide variations and confusing inconsistencies.
